Herbie's Instruments was founded in February 2024 by Herbie Pabst, a luthier living and working in northern New Jersey, USA.

Herbie has immersed himself in wood and woodworking since his late teens. His experience as a carpenter spans from building houses, renovating apartments and condos to crafting cabinetry and furniture. A life-long involvement in music parallels his woodworking career which includes playing guitar, writing songs, recording, and record production.

Recently he has brought together his woodworking and music careers with building guitars and mountain dulcimers. Through it all he maintains his love and drive for the creative process.
